Bluesevernty have been the pinnacle of open water swimming wetsuits for as long as i can remember. I have been extremely lucky to have had their support from early last year.
I was lucky enough to get my hands on a new Helix wetsuit thanks to Blueseventy’s support and today I will be reviewing this awesome product. All their products are available at https://www.blueseventy-australia.com.au/.
From the start the Helix wetsuit was an absolute pleasure to swimming and gave me more flexibility and water feel than I thought possible in a wetsuit.
I am a good not great swimmer but this wetsuit lifts my game to a new level. Below are some of my favorite features
Aqua Feel Catch Panels: Hydrophobic, permeable textile catch panels return the feel for the water. This means you feel like you are in the pool and have greater control over the water. You don't get that bulk feel through your arms. For me this is great as I do a lot of training in the pool and I want my race to feel as close to that as possible.
The Insides Count: extremely flexible, 100% nylon ultra-stretch jersey is lighter and offers significantly increased stretch compared to previous suits. I love the flexibility of this wetsuit. To quote Ned Flanders - “it feels like I’m wearing nothing at all”. The flexibility also helps me feel as natural as possible in the water.
Vo2 Chest Panels: buoyant Yamamoto aerodome is split by a flexible panel improving both buoyancy and performance through easier breathing. Breathing is important, breathing is more important during an open water swim which is at the start of an Ironman. The improved chest panels allow me to breathe easier and in turn get more oxygen in. They are also great for people who might get that claustrophobic feeling in the open water. Giving you more confidence in your open water swimming.
Overall this is by far the best wetsuit you will try on, when putting the wetsuit together Blueseventy have thought of all the necessary requirements in a great wetsuit.
If you want more information or a discount please get in touch with me. I would love to discuss the wetsuit further and help out if I can.
Cheers,
Ryley
